  • 2017 Ultimate Direction Fastpacks

Just before Easter High Sports were amongst the first in the UK to take delivery of the new 2017 Ultimate Direction series of Fastpacks which have already “hit the ground running”. The 15 & 25 Ltr versions rucksacks are already proving, as expected, to be game changing packs for all manner of activities from fell & trail running, mountain biking, long climbs, etc. The high carry vest design and customise adjustment creates excellent stability without the need for a traditional tummy scrunching waist belt. Access to all you need on route is easy and with stuffing pockets around the main compartment and a roll top you can quickly tension the main sack to maximise the best carry at all times. As one member of staff has already mentioned “ When you’re running along you hardly know the Fastpack is on compared to waist belt sacks that can bounce around”. The Long Mynd Hikers and long distance mountain marathon runners have already spotted the UD Fastpack as a winner. To compliment the Fastpacks, Ultimate Direction have introduced a new indestructible squeeze Flex Form bottle, in two sizes, for those who prefer a plastic shaped bottle to the popular squidgy UD Soft Bottle Plus. As with all UD products; designed to be a joy to use, smart colours and built to last. Our favourite 2017 new product, one sack many uses.

  • HS Winning Ambassadors

We’re very proud to report on a succession of wins by High Sports Ambassadors who have been busy competing this winter.

Our two HS fell running ambassadors; MEL PRICE finished 1st Lady in the Shropshire Hills Fell Race Winter Series (7 races) which also put her in an amazing 10th place overall out of 595 competitors, this follows a list of her equally stunning performances from 2016 including a third successive win at the Long Mynd Hike where she still holds the ladies record. And SAM ROBSON, in his first winter series came 10th overall, at one stage he was leading the series but a snowboarding injury put him out of the last two races.

Also back in the depths of winter two of our HS climbing ambassadors pulled off first place at the Board Room “Lights Out” indoor bouldering competition; TOM FENWICK taking the overall adult comp and a large cheque, and CHRIS NOVELLI the first Junior competition and a large box of chocs.

Congratulations & well done guys. Never stop pushing !LM HIKE 2016 MEL PRICE text (625 x 678)
