Although this category has a heading of Fell Runner, the emphasis is truly on Fast & Lite. Many of the products have crossover use determined by the imagination of the end user. Thinking 'outside the box' can guarantee success with a lot less pain and suffering, allowing you more time to enjoy your surroundings. Several years ago I walked the last mile of switchbacks down from the summit of Mt.Whitney in the High Sierras of California with an American lad who was in considerable pain. I'd just completed from Whitney Portal the Mt.Russell/Whitney traverse circuit in one awesome day, he'd spent the average 3 days on the same route. He was stunned that it was achievable in so short a time, the guide book didn't say so! His load was near on 30 kilos, mine not even 10 and still allowed for emergency overnight kit.
