Returns
Defective items may be returned for refund or exchange providing they are received back at our logistics centre within 14 days of the original delivery date in brand new, unused condition and in the original packaging. We recommend that all returned items are sent using an insured delivery service for your own protection. We will refund reasonable carriage costs incurred by returning defective items but we expect you to choose a cost-effective method of carriage in preference to an expensive next-day service. A re-delivery charge (at our standard rates) will apply to all items returned for exchange. Defective products will be replaced without a further delivery charge. We regret that we cannot accept returns of videos, DVDs, books and computer software unless they are found to be defective.

For unwanted goods we will refund you if they are returned within 14 days however, you are expected to return the item yourself and we will refund you minus whatever our original shipping costs were plus a 5% administration charge. Although we regret having to do this, we feel that it is only fair as otherwise we lose out every time someone decides to use us as a clothes browsing service. Our stock is sold in good faith and in perfect condition, please do not abuse our service by using it to try on clothes or shoes - just come into the shop and we'll be only too happy to help!
UK Shipping
Shipping is free on all items when purchasing through our website in the UK. Shipping rates apply for international orders (see below).
Our aim (but not guarantee) is to despatch goods within 24 hours of order and your delivery will typically be received the next working day (Monday to Friday) between 8am and 5.30pm providing the item is in stock. This depends on the size of the item as small packages are sent by Royal Mail whereas larger items such as tents are sent by Parcelforce 48 hour delivery. Please allow 5 working days before contacting us regarding your delivery and then we will be happy to chase it up for you.
Delays may be experienced during certain times of the year and if this is the case we will contact you as soon as possible. Deliveries to remote areas of the country may take longer to deliver than the times specified above. Once the goods have left our warehouse it is beyond our control and we are at the mercy of the 'best couriers' available, however if something does go wrong we will endeavour to make sure you still receive your goods as quickly as we can get them to you.
Depending on what time of day you phone us we can get goods to you at very short notice, however postage costs will apply for next day guaranteed delivery. Please phone 01743 231 649 for more information.
Your goods will be delivered using either Royal Mail or a specialist carrier. All deliveries will need a signature on receipt and if there is no one present to receive the delivery a card will be left. You may specify an alternative delivery address at the time of placing the order if you choose.
Redirection of Consignment Once Despatched:
Unfortunately, we regret to say there is a £20 surcharge should the parcel need to be re-routed to a different address once despatched (We do recommend that all orders are sent to an address where a signature is available, for example your place of work). This charge is levied by our couriers.
International Shipping
The following are flat rates for international delivery, however, on sending each delivery if the postage cost is more than £5 under this flat rate we will refund the difference to your card. For example, if you pay £30 for delivery to an address in the US but it actually only costs us £10 to post because of the weight, we will refund you £20. If the postage costs amount to more than you have paid (which can happen for some of the heavier items such as backpacks and tents) we will require you to pay the extra amount to make up the postage. In this event you will be contacted the next working day after your order with the full price. You will be under no obligation to complete the transaction and a full refund will be issued at your request.
You will only ever pay the postage and packaging cost for the item. We make no profit on the postage. If you are unsure about this process and would like to speak to someone over the phone please contact the shop on 44 1743 231 649.
At the moment this is the best way for us to give you the cheapest delivery possible which is fair to everyone without having a flat rate for every item, so you're not paying £30 for delivery of a karabiner.
United States and Canada: £25
Japan: £30
Australia and New Zealand: £30
Europe (EU Countries Only): £15
International Shipping typically takes longer than domestic deliveries - this varies greatly depending on country, for example deliveries to mainland Europe will usually be much faster than deliveries to Australia. We will happily chase orders for you at any time and keep you updated via parcel tracking to the best of our ability.
Discount
We offer a 10% discount in our shop for BMC members as well as many other local and national groups. Unfortunately this is something we can only offer in the shop as a lot of our stock is already heavily discounted and has free shipping within the UK.
