Climbing Shoes

Please read:

The size you will need in a rock shoe tends to differ largely from what you would buy in other shoes. It is not uncommon for people to have rock shoes as much as two sizes bigger or smaller than their normal trainers etc.

With today’s myriad of different manufacturers and models, it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start, so we have organized our range in to three main categories to help you find the right type of shoe for the climbing you want to do. However this is by no means concrete, as wearing a performance shoe slightly baggier than intended will make it feel more like an all day shoe, and an all day shoe worn extra tight will feel like more like a performance shoe etc etc.

The best way to buy climbing shoes still is (and always will be) to come into the shop and try them on. This is especially true if you are looking at a model you’ve never tried before or are investing in your first ever pair.

If you can’t make it to the shop, at least try and get in contact via email or phone, as at least one of our staff or ambassadors will have tested the model you’re interested in, and will be able to give you their expert opinion.

Once you have found, (or if you already know), the style that you are 100% happy with, then there is no real reason not to reorder the same ones off the internet and save yourself from a day trudging round the shops, when you could out be climbing.
